CasePass

Privacy

Updated: July 12, 2026

CasePass is a local multiplayer mystery game. It does not require an account and does not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

Data stored on your device

The app stores a random installation token in secure device storage. It also stores your text-size, sound, reduced-motion, timer, and hint preferences locally. The token is generated by CasePass and is not an Android hardware identifier.

Data sent to the CasePass API

The installation token is sent as a credential so the API can return only that installation's game data. The server stores a cryptographic hash of the token.

When you play, the API stores:

Player names are used only for the group session. They are not used for advertising or public profiles.

Technical request data

Our hosting and network providers may process standard request information, such as IP address, request time, and security signals, to deliver and protect the service.

Data sharing

CasePass does not sell personal data. Data is not shared for advertising. Infrastructure providers process data only to host, deliver, and protect the service.

Device permissions

This version does not require location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, videos, or personal files.

Retention and deletion

Game data is kept so you can resume a session and view progress. You can delete the installation identity and all associated sessions, player names, answers, hints, scores, and completion history from Settings. CasePass then creates a new random installation identity for future play.

Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage removes local data but cannot by itself identify and delete the previous server record. Delete progress in Settings before uninstalling, or contact us for help.
